? chtes Leder (Genuine Leather) explores creation after deterioration and death's role in sustaining humanity. Written for a short film project, directed by Adam Csoka Keller, the score uses extended techniques for a small ensemble of strings and Tuba. The aesthetic deconstruction through sound complements the imagery narrative.
The composition process based on transformation through a chromatic alphabet of the integrating ideas of verbal and musical changes that narrate in the absence of dialogue.
